Jimmy had two great gigs in Mississippi this past weekend, Feb 12th and 13th. He performed at the Isle of Capri Casino. There were packed houses for both shows and Jimmy also sold several cds. He is really building up his fan base and his music is really getting to be popular. People still love the traditional sound and Jimmy is keeping it alive and well.
He wants to thank all of you for being such great fans and friends supporting him along the way.
God bless you and please keep our uniformed young men and women who are serving our country while we are at war. They deserve more thanks than we can give them.
Jimmy Has A "Power Hit." - December 16, 2009
"A Soldier is Worth it To Me," a song that was recorded by Jimmy and written by Jimmy with Donna Graham, has been the number 1 requested song on radio station TCBGR.FM in Montgomery, Alabama. It has been for several weeks receiving the most requests than any other song being played on that radio station. As a matter of fact, TCBGR has deemed the song, " a 'Power Hit' for the month of December. Congratulations to Jimmy and Donna for a superbly written song and we all hope it continues to climb for you. Thanks to all the friends and fans who have not only requested the song on TCBGR.FM but also on all the other stations playing Jimmy's music.

New Songs - November 27, 2009
Jimmy has added three more songs to his repetoire of recorded songs. Two were written by The Mears Bros. (Jim and John) who have taken a liking to Jimmy and his singing. They invited him to do the recording of "Jack and Hank" and "As Country Can Get." Jimmy looked at this as a great opportunity and relished the chance to get into the studio and record with the two brothers. The third song is a song that was originally recorded by Keith Whitley (one of Jimmy's influences) in the mid 80's. It is a song called, "I'm Over You." Jimmy got with his producer, Danny Muhammad, and recorded a beautiful cover of the song, and it highlights Jimmy's vocals superbly, with just enough twists to give Jimmy a chance to make it his own sound and version. New Song by Jimmy - November 13, 2009
I must be honest, when I wrote the song, A Soldier is Worth it To Me, with Donna Graham, little did I know the impact it would be having around the world. My recording of that song is making waves on a lot of internet radion stations at this time and on myspace, it is becoming very popular as people are adding it to their profile players. I am so thankful to the people who are supporting that song and helping us get it out there.
I am also busy in the studio again, working on three new songs at the present. I was contacted by The Mears Brothers, Jim and John, and they had two songs for me to record that they had written. That session is coming up on the 23rd of November and I am extremely excited about that and looking forward to working with them in the studio.
The last six months have been extremely exciting for me and productive as I have not only been in the studio and playing music at The Nashville Palace, but getting a lot of radio airplay and doing interviews on some of these stations. I have an interview coming up on Friday, the 20th of November, with a station that has just picked up my music. It is called Lildevilradio and it can be found on the internet. I will post more about this next week.

My new cd, Jimmy Parker~Real Deal, is ready and will begin shipping out on Tuesday, May 12. I am really pleased with this cd as I feel it has ten great songs on it for the listeners enjoyment. Not only did I write a couple of them, but I covered some also by other artists, including my favorite all-time country singer, Merle Haggard. Those who have ordered the cd, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and thank you for your patience and support.

New CD is on the way... - March 6, 2009
However slow the process is, I can tell all of you that my new cd is in the process of being completed. Money, time, and effort are all factors and I want this product to be the best I can deliver. So, I thank all of you who have ordered your copy aready and also thank you for your patience in waiting. I will let all of you know when it is ready to mail out.
I want to address something that bothers me a little. Some people in this world think they can just come on this site and leave their advertisements and their phony, and sometimes dirty and filthy messages on my message page. I am in no means in contact with these people and in no way am I promoting nor do I reccomend their comments or products at all. I delete those messages a soon as I see them. Some people have no couth, no class, and they will pervert or attempt to trash someone's site that just may be attracting some people in the audience who are young and underage for such garbage. So, If you happen to look at my message page and see something that is distasteful, please know that I do not approve and I try to check each and everyday for this utter nonsense and delete if soon as I can.

One More Song to Go - January 29, 2009
I am working on one more song for my new cd. After this one is completed the new cd album will be done. All we have left is just a little tweaking, mastering, and the duplication process. I am still going to take the time to pitch this cd to a record label with hopes of getting someone to distribute it for me. Initially, I am only going to print up couple of hundred copies (if that many) to sell to those who want the first batch. New Album in the making!!! - January 19, 2009
Hi everyone...
I am busy applying the finishing touches to a new cd album. It will have ten songs on it that I feel are superb songs written by some great songwriters. A few of the songs will be cover tunes (done by other artists) that I really like and have been singing over the years. The rest will be original songs, a few written by me and the rest by some other great songwriters I have had the privilege of getting to know here in Nasvhille, Tn.
We have not set a date yet nor has the cd been titled, but I can assure you this will be a dynamite cd, probably the best I have done. My producer, Danny Muhammed, has really worked hard for me to make this cd my best to date. I will keep you all abreast of the final stages as it gets close to completion. Those of you on my mailing list have already received an email updating you for a reserved copy so you can be the first to get a copy. If you are new to this site or are not on that mailing list please contact me from this web page and I will be glad to add you to my mailing list.
I hope to see some of you in Lula, Mississippi in February at The Isle of Capri Casino. I have the privilege of being there the same time as Lorrie Morgan on February 13th and 14th. This will be a great time for some good country music. Please make plans to go and have some fun.
