Review of “Real Deal” recorded by Jimmy Parker

The Jimmy Parker CD, named the "REAL DEAL," is very appropriately titled. Jimmy's vocals and sincerity comes across from track to track. Don't expect the same old Nashville production on this one however. Jimmy takes a few different turns on various cuts and yet it is well within the boundaries acceptable for Country radio. Every single cut on this project fits the NBRN.FM format.

Jimmy Parker brings every song he sings on this album to life, with the traditional classic sound that Country Music is all about. First thing I have to say about Jimmy Parker and his music is simply this, WHY HASN'T SOMEONE HELPED THIS MAN SHOOT ONTO THE MUSIC SCENE!!!! Jimmy's voice, musical and songwriting vision, and over all sound reminds me of the days growing up, when music really meant something to the people singing it.

Jimmy Parker's covers of "Ring Of Fire" and "She's Like The Wind" give honor to the original artists, while adding his own special touch to them at the same time.

On the original end of the scale, the songs are heartfelt, very down to earth and truthful, and you can tell when he sings them, that he does it from deep in his heart and soul.

Other songs such
as, "Leaving on Your Account," "My Everything," and "Til I Gain Control," are so real, that I got chills as I listened to them.

Jimmy Parker is definetly, in my mind, an up and comer on the scene. If you check him and his music out, I have no doubt that you will be an instant fan!!

The Nashville Palace is a place you need to visit on your next trip to Nashville, Tn. Located on McGavock Pike across from the Opryland Hotel, it offers the finest in food, spirits, and country music. The history goes back many years as stars such as Randy Travis and Ricky Van Shelton got their starts in the music business. The Palace is large night club that offers full bands in a large room with a large dance floor as well as a small club area for soloists, duos, and trios. It is a family oriented atmosphere in which children are allowed to attend and enjoy the comforts the club offers to all. You will find history on its walls, and great traditional country music on the stages. It is well worth your time to visit and please tell them Jimmy sent you.
